Tyler Clementi Story

1.  Who is responsible for Tyler's Death? Perhaps more than one person is responsible? You may want to place responsibility based on percentage. Some examples of who may hold responsibility are, Tyler himself, Tyler’s Parents, Dharun Ravi, Molly Wei, or even Rutger’s university?

I believe Dharun and Wei are responsible for Tyler’s death, because if they wouldn’t have broadcasted Tyler’s sexual activity he would not felt ashamed and trapped for people’s comments, so he would not have taken that decision and he would have time to assimilate his situation and have a normal life.

2.  Is there something that could have been done to prevent this?  It seems like some people watched the posted video, why didn't anyone step up?

I do not think there's anything it could be done to prevent this unfortunate fact. Today’s people are not interested in other people's well-being only in their own, even if they see a dangerous situation, simply don’t do anything to help who is in that situation.

3. How do you think that anti-bullying laws will impact cases like this?

I think the authorities should severely punish those who bully no matter if they are children, adolescents, or adults. One way or another we have to learn to respect others. Nobody has the right to ridicule, harass, or hurt the feelings of other people, and I consider that if they do it, have to face the consequences.
